In a spirited endeavour to promote community engagement and empower the local populace, NTPC-Simhadri undertook a series of impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities on October 23, 2023.

In a bid to nurture the sporting spirit among the youth, cricket kits were generously distributed to the enthusiastic young residents of Pandivanipalem village, responding to the earnest request of the 77th ward corporator. This initiative seeks to encourage active participation in sports.

Simultaneously, as part of the Durga Navami, celebration, NTPC-Simhadri took a significant step towards women's empowerment by distributing 160 sarees to the dedicated female contract workers. This gesture serves as a token of appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the workforce and reinforces their vital role in the community's progress.

Addressing the participants, Chief guest Smt. Suchita Nandi (President, Dakshin Deepanjali Mahila Samithi) further championed the empowerment of women in the workforce. She lauded the dedication and hard work of the female contract workers and expressed hope that the saree distribution would serve as a symbol of recognition for their relentless efforts.

During the event DLC, President Smt. Anju Sinha emphasized the pivotal role of community engagement in fostering unity and development. She underlined the profound impact initiatives like the cricket kits distribution have in shaping well-rounded individuals within the community.
